Los Angeles ACTING BOOTCAMP August 20 through August 24 2007

The camp goal was to improve craft, auditioning, and working skills. We explored script analysis, character development, how to make and commit to strong choices, the challenges of auditioning, and working on set. Doing exercises that help actors connect with their material and characters, bringing energy to the work. This approach helped the group embody the core of their characters creating a true voice in their part(s).

Work sessions included:
- Presence / Voice / Movement
- Improvisation
- Character Development
- Script Analysis / Scene Study
- Audition / Call Back
- Casting Director Workshop with Paul Weber, CSA
- The Shoot
- The Business

If your not on a series, doing a feature film, or in a play it's essential to read and work with new material as often as possible. If you don't have material, find material! That's one of the tasks required to improve your acting.
