2010 Acting-Filmmaking-Producing Camp. This unique learning and working opportunity is being hosted in Helotes in a large private home with teacher and parental supervision at all times. The camp is a one of a kind in Texas walking young actors through the steps necessary to win parts and make their own films.

Filmmaking Introduction

A film is made three times. 1) It's Written. 2) It's Shot. 3) It's Edited.

The campers are guided through the complete creation of a TV pilot. Starting out working with the director and writer while the script is being prepping a for shooting, breaking down the characters making sure the casting process gets 90% of the directors job done. On set they'll be introduced first hand to the necessary steps in order to achieve good takes consistently from the camera's point of view. Finally they'll be involved in the post production process through the editing phase.

In today's world Actors must understand filmmaking basics at the least, and must also understand Producing. Producers play an integral role in getting films made and distributed. In this program we introduce the students to the basic aspects of producing.
